Words that
sound like
them.
Jackie creates individual ceremonies around the person who has died and the people who knew them.

Not a standard script. A service shaped around a real life.
Jackie’s role begins by listening. Families can talk about the life that was lived in the way that feels natural to them: stories, memories, relationships, humour, important moments and the things that made the person themselves.
From there, Jackie writes and delivers a service that brings those details together clearly and sensitively. The tone can be traditional, informal, warm, reflective or a mixture of all of those things.
Not a standard script.
The purpose is not to make a person fit a ceremony. It is to make the ceremony fit the person. Jackie uses her experience as a storyteller and public speaker to hold the service together while keeping the person at its centre.
Indoor or outdoor.
Services can take place indoors or outdoors, including somewhere that held particular meaning for the person who has died. Jackie works across Central Scotland.
The details are often where the person lives on.
A phrase they always used. A song. A habit. A place. A story everybody in the room knows. Jackie’s work is about noticing those details and giving them space.
